BiographY

The Jaipur Kawa Brass Band hails from the colorful, vibrant, and majestic desert state of Rajasthan, the homeland of the North Indian gypsies.
The Jaipur Kawa Brass Band is an exceptional heritage showcase, featuring authentic Indian brass musicians and a fakir performing unique illusions, including sword swallowing, spectacular juggling, and gravity-defying balancing acts.
Also accompanied by the captivating choreography of a Kalbelia, a "snake charmer," who dances like a cobra, guardian of spiritual truth.

Today, the band's leader, Mosin Kawa, pursues the same goal: to bring together talented musicians from different regions of Rajasthan, offering a wide repertoire ranging from traditional Indian music to popular songs, Bollywood films, and Western music. The melodies and vocals are crafted with great finesse.

All the musicians of the Jaipur Kawa Brass Band have ancestral ties to their art, heirs to a musical culture passed down from generation to generation. These extraordinary artists, dressed in traditional costumes—a colorful turban, a typical Rajasthani jacket, and camel-skin shoes—perform with remarkable energy and humor, both on stage and in traveling parades.
A true musical explosion, their unique show embodies the soul of contemporary India. Their fiery music soars in a passionate exploration of the Indian brass band tradition: love songs sparkle alongside joyful orchestrations.
