BiographY

Listening to TSL's records is like diving into a long, timeless wave and discovering a unique, organic sound made of synthesizers, samples, and real instruments played live, recognizable from the first bar. Launched with Starlight, the artist gave us and millions of people a huge dose of happiness. A dose so powerful that it swept everything away in its path, concealing a rich musical career that inspired a whole new electronic scene: Nu Disco.

Freshly graduated from the Paris Conservatory, he quickly created his label Lafessé Records in 1999 to release his first maxis under the name Stan de Mareuil, then left for England to sign his project SCHOOL (remixed at the time by a House legend Larry Heard) on the Cyclo label. It was then with his first EP Underground Disco that The Supermen Lovers adventure began its ascent.

'Starlight', the first song in the history of French Touch, reached #1 in almost 20 countries worldwide; the most-streamed French song in the world in 2001/2002. The planet sang and danced to Starlight and propelled the artist into the pantheon of electro producers. His first album 'The Player' was remixed by the cream of international DJs and was himself the remixer of such legendary artists as New Order and Kylie Minogue. He then opened the doors of the biggest clubs with his mental and hypnotic 'Rebirth'. A title that would begin a more instrumental, hypnotic, and dark period with his second album 'Boys in the Wood', darker and dirtier than 'Starlight'. The perfect three o'clock in the morning classic that would take Guillaume to scour dance floors all over the world.

In 2008, it was during a concert that he met the legendary disco-funk singer Rick Bailey of Delegation. The veteran Bailey then discovered The Supermen Lovers on stage. A favorite. A collaboration began with a cover of the hit 'You & I' and then a first unreleased track 'Take a Chance' which launched the adventure of his 3rd album 'Between The Ages' released in 2011. It is about analog machines, vocoder, guitar, and a lot of piano. Where synths straight from the 70s are added to notes of over-agitated funkadelic guitars.

A rotation of EPs later, and a stint in cinema (BOF La Lutte des Classes) Guillaume returned to the studio in 2016 to produce his new album 'Body Double'. Initially finalized with Eric Chedeville at Studio Crydamoure, it will be fully reproduced after a hot and revealing summer on the magical island of Ibiza! 2 EPs will be the first markers of this new album: 'Walking on the moon' and 'Clock Sucker' whose delirious video directed by Maxime Baudin continues to make the biggest partygoers in the world dream and ring the censorship of Youtube.

This time it's for real, his 4th album 'Body Double' is finished and will be released on May 27, 2022.

It will be recorded and produced between Paris and Kyiv, a city he fell in love with and where he spent many months from 2018 to 2020, drawing inspiration from and working with Ukrainian musicians and producers. A record with a schizophrenia between vocal electro-disco and hypnotic club tracks.

His leitmotif, bringing his killer bass line wherever he goes.
